An improvised explosive device detonated in a village near the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Wednesday, killing 14 people traveling in a passenger van, authorities said. The van was traveling between two towns in the Tribal Areas of northwestern Pakistan when it hit the device, said Zakir Hussain, the commissioner of Kohat Division. Three women and three children were among the dead in the blast caused by a device using an anti-tank mine, Hussain said. It wounded two children -- a boy and a girl -- both ages 11, he added. No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion, CNN reported.
