Industrial production in the eurozone rose 0.6 per cent from April to May, dpa cited the European Union's statistical office Eurostat as saying on Thursday. It was only the second time in nine months that the index turned positive in the single currency bloc. The only blip from the negative trend that started in August 2011 was a monthly 0.7-per-cent increase registered in February. Eurostat revised downwards monthly data from April, saying that output that month had fallen by 1.1 per cent, rather than by the previously estimated 0.8 per cent. The downward revision is a sign that the overall outlook was still negative. -- SPA
