Egypt's Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amro met in Cairo today with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs William Bernz who is currently visiting Egypt. Amro Roshdi, official spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the meeting dealt with ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries in addition to a number of regional issues, led by the situation in Syria and the peace process in the Middle East. For his part, Bernz confirmed during the meeting that the U.S. would pursue its support for Egypt's economy, noting that a U.S. economic delegation would soon visit Egypt to increase the U.S. investments in Egypt.
