Pakistan's civilian and military leaders were meeting Tuesday to discuss the possible re-opening of NATO supply routes after reported agreement with the United States to end the seven-month crisis triggered by the killing of 24 Pakistani soldiers. The Defence Committee of the Cabinet (DCC) is chaired by Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and includes key cabinet ministers along with the chiefs of the army, navy and air force. "The DCC will meet in the evening today (Tuesday) to discuss the issue of NATO supply in the light of meetings with US officials and may recommend the future course of action," an official from the prime minister's office was quoted as saying by DPA. The meeting was called after negotiations led by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Thomas Nides, deputy US secretary of state, that concluded Monday evening.
