Kabeer gave an account of the episodes since the flare-up of the crisis in Syria in March 2011, focusing on a series of regional and international bids to cope with the situation that were met with illusive tactics by the Syrian ruling regime to sell time and foil such peaceful and humanitarian endeavors. He depicted the Syrian regime's final attitude as uncooperative with the Arab and world community. Based on relations binding the Kingdom with the Syrian sisterly people, the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which showed keenness since the eruption of the crisis to deal with it with the most possible wisdom and prudence, calls on today's meeting to take decisive and firm measures to stop massacre against the Syrian people, he said. He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supports a recommendation to suspend the membership of the government of Syria to the OIC and all affiliate bodies and organizations, so that the recommendation be forwarded to the OIC's Ministerial Council's next meeting for consideration. --More
