The Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) stressed today that there is no truth in reports by some media about the rise of temperatures this summer above "70 degrees" or more, pointing out that what was reported in the media of statements by non-specialists in meteorology, does not conform with reality, meteorological information, warning systems and world alerts in this regard. The Presidency explained in a press statement issued here this morning that climatic reports indicate that most of temperatures in this summer season in the Kingdom's regions range from 44-49 degrees, while in Ahsa, Hafr Al-Baten and Jeddah, temperature recorded "51-52 ° C in the month of June, 2010 . It said that the exaggeration in the issuance of such news reports has negative impacts on individuals and communities, especially this summer which corresponds to the holy month of Ramadan, noting that the temperatures are still about ranges.
