The Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense sent a cable of thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on being chosen as the Saudi Arabia's new Crown Prince and appointed as Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense. The Crown Prince Salman valued the precious confidence the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud bestowed upon him. He also expressed determination to follow up the prudent approach and wise policy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, promising to be faithful to his religion, King, and the beloved home country. "While you are receiving condolences on the death of our brother the late Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, I pray to Allah Almighty to bless you and perpetuate security, stability and prosperity on the Kingdom under your wise leadership", the Crown Prince Salman concluded his cable addressing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
