Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, the Strategic Partner of Saudi Technical Institute for Oil Services in Dammam, and Aramco Gulf Operations Company Limited, signed here today a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to operate the Institute in Khafji Governorate, in the presence of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi . The Memorandum was signed by the Corporation's Governor Dr. Ali Bin Nasser Al-Ghufais, Advisor for Corporate Affairs at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and Chief of Trustees Abdulrahman Bin Mohammad Abdul-Karim and the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer Eng. Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Hilal. The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said in a press statement following the signing ceremony that the Memorandum comes as an extension of successful strategic partnership between the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Corporation for expansion in the field of training institutes specialized in oil services. Al-Naimi pointed out that the strategic partnership between the Ministry and the Corporation is a strategic cooperation between two sides interested considerably in finding opportunities to train Saudi youth technically to assume positions in the industry, looking forward to the establishment of various technical institutes which are not specialized only in oil and gas, but also in mining and industry.
