RIYADH: The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) is set to receive 22 technical institutions for girls next year. These are out of 40 institutions to be received by the corporation, said Dr. Ali Al-Ghufais, TVTC governor, adding that the capacity of each of them is 2,000 trainees. Dr. Al-Ghufais made the comments here Tuesday during the graduation ceremony of 50 trainees from the Saudi Oger Institution. Adel Fakeih, Minister of Labor, was also in attendance. Al-Ghufais said the TVTC has signed training and employment partnership contracts with 20 institutions in the domains of construction, maintenance and cars “and we will sign another 20 contracts soon.” These partnerships, he added, come within the efforts of the TVTC, Ministry of Labor and the Human Resources Fund to qualify Saudi trainees in accordance with the requirements of the labor market. The TVTC has sent 1,500 students abroad. About 500 of them will return within the next two years, he said.
