Under the patronage of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defence, inaugurated here today, the new headquarters of Middle East Limited Company for Aircraft Engines. Upon arrival at the venue, the Prince was received by the Minister of Economy and Planning Dr. Mohammed bin Suleiman Al-Jasser; Deputy Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Hussein; and Commander of Air Force Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ayish. In a statement after the ceremony, Prince Khalid bin Sultan said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia began to harvest the fruits of the Offset Program launched by the late Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz (May Allah bless his soul), and which continued to be supported by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense. He said that investment in advanced technology and military industries became today one of the most important sources of national incomes in many countries to meet their domestic needs in the field of armament and development, and the use of these industries as an economic fruitful source, noting that the Economic Offset Program has created an industrial base, specifically in the field of defense industries and military and civil aviation, and qualified Saudi cadres in this field.
