The wildfire area in Siberia grew by 2.7 times over the past day. As of 9:00 a.m. Moscow time 30 fires were raging on 2,144 hectares, including four large fires of 1,590 hectares, the Siberian regional center of the Emergency Situations Ministry told Itar-Tass on Sunday. The center put the blame on the human factor. The weather is hot and dry and many people visiting their dachas neglect elementary fire safety rules. A total of 448 people and 68 machines are putting out wildfires. There were 561 fire safety inspections in the forests over the past day and 43 administrative charges were brought.
