The International Criminal Court (ICC) on Friday said it would allow Libya to continue holding the son of former leader Moamer Gaddafi until the court decides whether the North African country has the right to try him. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, who has been held in Libya by the ruling National Transitional Council (NTC) since his capture in November, is wanted by the ICC for his role in the killing of protesters during a revolt against his father's rule last year. The ICC issued a warrant for him in June 2011. Libya has refused to hand over Saif al-Islam Gaddafi to the ICC, saying it has the jurisdiction to try him at home. The ICC said it would let Libya hold Gaddafi until the issue was resolved.
