Germany's labor agency said the country's unemployment rate dropped below 7 percent in May as Europe's largest economy continues to perform well despite problems in the eurozone, AP reported. The agency said Thursday the rate fell to 6.7 percent in May from 7 percent in April, with the total number of unemployed people down 108,000 to 2.86 million. In seasonally adjusted terms, the unemployment rate was unchanged. Germany has led the 17-nation eurozone with two years of strong economic growth, though it's expected to grow by less than 1 percent this year after expanding by 3 percent in 2011.
