Jordan's King Meets with Secretary General of Europe Council

King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed today with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland bilateral cooperation, the latest developments in the Middle East as well as issues of common interest.
King Abdullah II stressed keenness to forge closer cooperation with the Strasburg-based council to achieve common interests and enhance Jordanian-European partnership in various fields.
King Abdullah II urged the international community to help the Palestinians and Israelis to return to the negotiating table and discuss all final status issues, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
