Faisal described such accusations as sarcastically. He said Saudi and Yemen have suffered from such acts and were in a real battle against such operation, so if anybody dares to accuse any of us as a source of subversive acts, it looks ugly and unacceptable, he said. For his part, the Yemeni Prime Minister added that only Saudi Arabia has provided clear support for Yemen whereas most of the world stayed idle. Explaining this point, Prince Saud Al-Faisal said the Yemen Friends Conference is something different from a donor conference. So, this conference has designed three themes: the economic, social and security and reviewed reports and needs submitted by Yemeni relevant ministers, he said, adding that the ministers have already projected requests to the forthcoming donor conference in Saudi Arabia. Then, anybody could ask about who donated how much, Prince Saud Al-Faisal stated. As for Saudi Arabia, we have announced the donation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in advance. Asked to comment on the Egyptian presidential elections, Prince Saud Al-Faisal said the elections in Egypt is an internal matter, wishing Egypt every success, stability. He added that Saudi Arabia stands at the same distance from any other country. Saudi Arabia is ready to recognize the president elected by the Egyptian people, he vowed. He denied that Saudi Arabia would have different positions against Egyptian candidates. On concerns that Yemen might turn to another Afghanistan raising the possibility of the U.S. or NATO intervention, Prince Saud Al-Faisal said we came to this conference to become sure that Yemen will proceed its development and stability and we hope this will be the inevitable result. He reminded that the same notion was suggested following the September 11 bombings, but Yemen did not change to an Afghanistan. As for the Houthi, we think they are Yemenis and now they are part of the political process and we call on them and insist that they become part of the political crisis solution in Yemen, he added.
