Heads of Delegations and Organizations participating in the 3rd Ministerial Meeting of the Friends of Yemen stressed their full support of the unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Yemen, renewing their commitment to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of Yemen. The Friends of Yemen welcomed the commitment of the Yemeni government in the political process based on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) initiative and its executive mechanism as well as its compliance with all items of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2014. This came in a statement issued at the end of the 3rd Ministerial Meeting of Friends of Yemen as follows: The 3rd Ministerial Meeting of Friends of Yemen is held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Wednesday, Rajab 2, 1433 / May 23, 2012, to express their full support to the progress made in implementing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) initiative and its executive mechanism, to discuss the latest developments in the political, economic, humanitarian and security fields and to renew the commitment of Yemen and its friends to move forward in this way of supporting the transition process and help Yemen overcome the repercussions of crisis. The Friends of Yemen also condemn the horrific terrorist attack that took place in Sana'a on 21 May, and express their sincere condolences to the people of Yemen. In light of this terrible, horrific and inhuman attack, the Friends of Yemen confirm their strong commitment to fighting extremism and the roots causing it. The Friends of Yemen expressed their full support to the unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Yemen, re-emphasizing their commitment to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of Yemen. --More
