Lebanese President General Michel Suleiman received here today Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Bin Saeed Awadh Asiri. During the meeting, which comes within the framework of the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, on the security and safety of Saudi citizens in Lebanon, they reviewed the latest developments in the Lebanese arena and their impact on safety and security of Saudi citizens who are in Lebanon and who will visit it during the summer season. During the meeting, President Suleiman stressed that the Lebanese state harness all its political and security to reduce the repercussions of recent events and that the security situation is under control and things are returning to normal little by little. He also affirmed the Lebanese state's concern for tourists visiting Lebanon including citizens of Saudi Arabia. The Lebanese President asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud and praised the brotherly relations between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia and the honorable positions taken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on Lebanon during its various circumstances and the special attention given to Lebanon and its people. For his part, Ambassador Asiri praised the efforts made by President Michel Suleiman in order to preserve Lebanon's unity, security and stability and his quest to strengthen relations between Lebanon and Arabs including Saudi Arabia adding that the Saudi embassy in Beirut is following the developments closely and is keeping contact on a permanent basis with Saudi citizens who are present in Lebanon to inform them of new developments.
