Bunayan, Executive Director of the Tourism and Antiquities Administration in the Eastern Province, has said that only four complaints concerning accommodation facilities have been received during the current holidays. “The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities' toll-free complaints number has received only four complaints, while random inspections at hotels and furnished apartments registered 65 violations,” he said. “Five teams have been tasked with monitoring and inspecting tourist accommodation facilities during the mid-term vacations, and they are backed up by the General Administration for Licenses at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities. He said that 42 violations were for operating without a license, with five others for failing to display licenses and accommodation charges, and 14 violations for failing to stick to set prices.
