MAKKAH: The Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) is set to host the First Employment Forum on March 6, under the patronage of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah. The MCCI has held a series of meetings with authorities related to employment ahead of the event, and Ziyad Farsi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of MCCI and Supervisor General for organizing the forum has met with Fahd Al-Shammari, Director of the Labor Office in Makkah; Hisham Linjawi, Director General of the Human Resources Development Fund; Wadi' Azhar, Chairman of the Training and Saudization Committee, and forum organizer Khalid Hasnawi to discuss preparations. Farsi said that the MCCI seeks to create the “largest possible number of jobs in the private sector for the people of the region” by working with the Human Resources Development Fund and the Labor Office. He added that the MCCI also supervises the signing of contracts and agreements between job seekers and private sector companies and monitors them. “The MCCI is striving to make the forum the biggest in the Kingdom and it should achieve its aims in serving young Saudi men and women jobseekers and help them find work in the private sector,” he said.
