The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday night pledged SR112.5 million to Afghanistan. The pledge was made in the framework of the international conference for reconstruction of Afghanistan currently in progress here. On the Saudi side, the agreement was signed by Vice President and Managing Director of Saudi Fund for Development, Eng. Yousuf Ibrahim Al-Bassam and on the Afghan side by Finance Minister Anwarul Haq Ahadi. The loan comes as a participation of the Kingdom in financing a vital project in the transportation sector in Afghanistan.
