Big victory for ACE Travel

wicket win over a strong Saudi Steel Profile team and Zinda Tilismat downed Peeran-XI by 71 runs in the 11th week matches of JCA Division-I League which is sponsored by the Natco International Freight and Cargo Services and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
In the first match of the day, Saudi Steel Profile team which has been in good form in this tournament made a respectable total of 164-6 in the the allotted overs. Opener Abdul Rauf (87) was the highest run getter for the steel profile men,. The other batsmen who supported Abdu Rauf were Syed Ashraf Shah (44) and Nabeel Hussain (20). Islam, who took 2-19, was the most successful bowler of ACE Travels. Shaban claimed 1-11, Shoaib 1-16 and Ashfaq 1-27.
ACE Travel in reply reached 165-1 in 12.5 overs. Imran made match-winning score of 74 runs in 36 balls with seven fours and three sixes. His opening partner Rayeesuddin contributed 38 not out, while Ashfaq made a quickfire 23 off just 9 balls. Saleem Siddiqui took the wicket Imran for 4 runs.
In the second match of the day, Zinda Tilismat, batting first, made 241-5 in the allotted 18 overs against Peeran-XI. The pinch-hitting opening batsman of Zinda Jawed Ahmed made a firing 92 off just 41 deliveries with the help of 12 boundaries and 5 sixes. Jawed Ahmed and Irfan recorded an 112-run opening wicket partnership. Irfan made a quickfire 64 off 25 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes. Zaman made 38 while Saeed Khan contributed 10. Haneef took 3-33, Ali 1-45 and Shabbir 1-56.
Peeran-XI, in reply, made 170-7 in 15.1 overs and lost the match by 71 runs. Haneef made 54 with 12 boundaries. Sarfarosh made 32, Abdullah 23 and Shabbir 16. Noman claimed 2-13, Zaman 2-25 and Nazeer Ahmed 1-31.
In Division-II matches, Jawar Al-Jazira defeated Deccan Knights Cricket Club, Butt Sports beat Young Athletes, Kanoo Travels won over ALJ and KAIA downed Reel & Rom.
