Zahra Mohammed Mohammed Maqbool, who visited Saudi Gazette's offices recently, said she has no money even for food. Zahra, who has been living in the Kingdom for 15 years, was evicted because she could not pay her rent. Now she fears being thrown out of her room onto the streets because she has no money. Zahra divorced her husband a year ago when he was jailed for a crime. “I have had this problem for the past year since my divorce from my husband. I don't know what to do and where to go. I did some work for people to feed my children but I couldn't get enough money to pay for the rent of the house. After a year the landlord threw us out. We had no place to go, but then a lady gave us a small room to live in. But every day she stands at the door asking for money. I don't have a single penny. I am scared that maybe one day she will also throw us out,” said Zahra. “I don't have any family to go to for help. I can't read or write. My youngest daughter is five years old. In our room we don't have any furniture, fridge, air conditioning or anything to put on the floor. We need the help of the community and people to survive. Please help me and my children, if anyone wants to see the place where we live, please come to visit us in Sulaimaniya,” she pleaded.
