Police escort an offender into a patrol vehicle Saturday. – Okaz photoJEDDAH: Over 825 overstayers and violators were arrested Saturday when police raided numerous sites harboring persons suspected of engaging in activities related to prostitution, sorcery and magic, forgery, and alcohol. Police said that most of the sites were in the districts of Kilo 3, Al-Baghdadiyah, Al-Sabeel, Bani Malik, Al-Sharafiah and Al-Rawabi. “The campaigns were in response to reports from the public complaining of disturbances at night, car theft and gang activities,” a police spokesman said.
