RIYADH: The Ministry of Culture and Information and the Chinese Embassy in Riyadh will jointly organize Chinese Cultural Week to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and China. Nasir Bin Zuman, Manager, International Relations and Cultural Activities Department, at the Ministry of Culture and Information said three days of cultural activities will be organized at King Fahd Cultural Center (KFCC) starting from Saturday. A 30-member Chinese delegation that includes 24 Chinese artists and musicians will arrive in Riyadh to participate in the cultural activities, Zuman said. He said about 300 guests including Saudi officials, businessmen and people of various walks of life have been invited on the inaugural day. Liu Deshan, Cultural Attache at the Chinese Embassy, said that the cultural activities will include an exhibition of Chinese art and performances of centuries old traditional Chinese music. Liu said the Chinese cultural delegation includes three officials from the Chinese government. “The event is part of the celebration of 20 years of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and China,” he said. The event will be open to the public between 4 P.M. and 9 P.M.
