Twelve Saudi families are waiting to occupy the apartments they acquired for more than SR10 million at a building located in Al-Haramain area. The apartments are without electricity due to disagreements between the builder and the municipality. Ahmad Mandourah, owner of an apartment, took a bank loan for SR920,000 for the new house but after completing all formalities, found out that there was no electricity connection. Another owner paid one million riyals and found himself in the same situation. “The problem is that the bank loan eats up a large chunk of our salaries. We have to rent an apartment until we are able to move into our new homes,” said another flat owner.
