King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has approved the first workshop themed “use of geographical system to locate mineral places.” The week-long workshop commencing next month will be jointly held by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Arabic Association for Industrial and Mining Development. “This is an important step by the King and Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, who gave us the opportunity to host this workshop that aims at promoting the Kingdom's role in technically assisting all the Arab countries collectively,” said Engineer Ali Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Petroleum and Minerals Resources. “Arab Ministers of Petroleum and Mineral Resources have initiated several training courses and workshops to improve the standards of Saudi staff who work in this field,” Al-Nuaimi added. Over 20 experts in geographical information system from various Arab countries will participate in the workshop. __
