MAKKAH: Prince Naif, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Haj Committee, said here Thursday that the Haj this year was an “unparalleled success”. Prince Naif was addressing the commanders of the Haj security forces. “On behalf of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the Crown Prince, I express my thanks, appreciation and pride in all of you. I congratulate you on the unparalleled success of Haj this year and also on the blessed Eid Al-Adha.” He praised Allah Almighty for making Haj safe this year for everyone and wished pilgrims a safe trip home. Prince Naif praised the performance of the security forces. “You have shown the world that you are capable of efficiently managing the largest gathering of people in the world.” The Second Deputy Premir said there was a comprehensive plan in place to improve services and facilities in Makkah over the next six to eight years. Prince Naif said he met last Saturday with Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah, and members of Makkah Province's Development Commission and was briefed on projects worth SR22 billion. Those who attended Thursday's gathering included Prince Ahmad Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Minister of Interior; Prince Mohammed Bin Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs; Prince Abdulaziz Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and President of the Court of Presidency of Council of Ministers; and a number of princes and officials.
