JEDDAH: Ticket prices for the holy sites' train has been set by the Higher Haj Committee headed by Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, at SR250 for the entire Haj season for local and GCC pilgrims, and SR100 for other pilgrims only for the last three days of Haj. Fahad Abu Tarboosh, Director General of the holy sites' train project, said that tickets are sold to Haj Companies as packages, meaning to only licensed pilgrims who will be issued with special wristbands. “We sell ticket packages to the companies. “If the company has 10,000 pilgrims, they will buy only 10,000 tickets,” said Abu Tarboosh. He said some companies have been offering tickets cheaper than SR250, but this was their way to attract pilgrims.
