JEDDAH: The first 500 pilgrims from Nigeria coming for Haj this year were received Monday night at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah by the Establishment of Mutawifs for Pilgrims of African countries. Abdul Wahid Bin Burhan Saif Al-Deen, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Establishment, welcomed the pilgrims. Saif Al-Deen explained the services available and called on them to comply with the instructions and directions given by their guides. This was to ensure a smooth Haj, he said. He said that every year the Ministry of Haj provides greater support in terms of facilities. A further 3,000 Nigerian pilgrims are expected later this week. Meanwhile, Saif Al-Deen announced that a service agreement has been signed with the State of Mauritius.
