Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Aal Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shoura (Consultative) Council, and the accompanying delegation met with Noel Kinsella, Speaker of the Canadian Senate, on the sidelines of the Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of Group of Twenty (G-20) which started here on Thursday. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and issues of common interest between the two countries at all levels, especially parliamentary relations between the two councils. The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Canada Osama Bin Ahmed Al-Sanusi. Dr. Abdullah arrived at McDonald Cartier International Airport in Ottawa on Thursday. He was received by Saudi Ambassador Al-Sanusi who later hosted a breaking-fast (Iftar) banquet in his honor. On the other hand, the Shoura delegation submitted to the Conference of Speakers of Parliaments a working paper on the announcement of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, at a meeting of G-20 leaders in Toronto on June 26 -27 about the Kingdom's continuation in its investment program in government and oil sectors by spending $ 400 billion over five years since the global financial crisis. The paper also included Saudi Arabia's experience in the way of dialogue as a model to achieve world peace and security derived from the initiative of King Abdullah for world dialogue, which was announced in Makkah and launched in the Spanish capital of Madrid in July 2008.
