Police arrested two workers of well-known companies for begging here on Tuesday. The beggars, a Pakistani and his “assistant”, were captured in front of the gate of Abdullah Bin Salam Mosque in Al-Osaili District after being seen several times at other locations. The Pakistani said he arrived in the country 10 months ago as a cleaner for a famous family company in Riyadh which had reported him missing. The man's income from begging for a few hours was SR1,500. This money was found on him. He removed a fake dressing he had put on his hand and said he had been begging in Yanbu for about a month. The other man has been in the country for three years under the sponsorship of a contracting company in Dammam and was now living near Yanbu Road close to the Electricity Company. He said his relationship with the beggar was humanitarian because he helped him with translation from Arabic to Urdu.
