Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Qassim, and his deputy Prince Faisal Bin Misha'al Bin Saud Bin Abdul Aziz, chairman of the Committee for the Development of Investment in the Qassim Region, reviewed a business plan of Qassim Development Company (QDC) which is currently being established as part of a comprehensive and integrated strategy to develop investments in the Qassim Region. In the meeting chaired by the governor and his deputy, attended by the chairman of Investment Studies in Qassim Abdullah Saleh Al-Othaim - vice chairman of the Committee for the Development of Investment in the Qassim Region, and members of the executive committee and QDC CEO, important topics related to the formation of QDC were discussed, among them, were the identification of the target development sectors, formation of Investment Council for the region as well as establishing QDC as a holding company to manage the establishment, development, and management of key companies specializing in mega development projects in the region. QDC's CEO and chairman of the Founding Committee Mujahid Al-Gain noted the development phase of the region, and expressed his gratitude to the governor and his deputy “for adopting and supporting this very important initiative which coincides with the economic developments of the Kingdom,” as well as to Amr Dabbagh, governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, for his continuous support in the project “from concept to reality.” He added that “establishing Qassim Development Corporation as a holding company is a pivotal project which aims at jumpstarting and serving many development projects in Qassim Region as a whole." "This idea was conceived after extensive studies and research for over 20 months to identify the investment environment available in the region. This study was conducted by leading global firms as well as local experts and members of the Qassim Region.” QDC is supported by leading consultation firms specializing in various disciplines which include legal, media, financial, technical, and administrative consultants in addition to experts in brand building and corporate identity. In a previous meeting comprising key personnel involved in the founding of Qassim Development Corporation along with members of the Executive Council and the governor of SAGIA, the authority welcomed the initiative to develop the Qassim area. __
