Police who stopped a suspicious driver in the Al-Nada district of the capital on Sunday found inside his car two safes which, it transpired, had been stolen from a company in Al-Sulaimaniya. Police said that the Arab driver admitted to having stolen the safes, one of which was open, as soon as the discovery was made. “The man has been taken into custody and we are continuing our inquiries to establish his link to a series of similar incidents in Riyadh recently,” police said.
