Police arrested a woman of Arab origin Saturday for converting her house into a prostitution den in downtown Jeddah. The woman operated the illegal network of Arab and African women prostitutes from the comfort of her old house in Al-Madhloum District in Jeddah. She had converted sections of the house for the illegal activities. The woman was drunk during the arrest. The woman was assisted by another Arab woman, and other assistants, to bring more customers to the brothel. The woman communicated with “illegal pleasure seekers” through her cell phone. She had no personal contact, to maintain secrecy. She received a minimum of SR1,000 from each customer per night. Police kept the suspected house under surveillance after one of the male assistants was detained and investigated. He provided information about the network and the illegal customers. The police raided the place and arrested the woman and her other assistants. Police are searching for more assistants and customers of the illegal network, said Col. Misfer Al-Juai'd, spokesman of the Jeddah Police Department.
