Jazira Bank has recently announced that the bank has won unanimously for the second time the Policy Trophy for the best life insurance services at the recently held Middle East Insurance Prizes 2008. Tareq Abalkhail, deputy executive president of Al- Jazira, expressed happiness that “Al-Jazira could accomplish such a success for the next time in the presence of prominent competitive banks from the Gulf area, Yemen, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and Iran,” adding that the new award “represents the leading role that Takaful department has arrived at in the insurance field.” Dawood Yousuf Tailor, general manager of Takaful, expressed deep gratitude to organizers, saying that “this really reflects how far Takaful management has devoted its efforts to develop Takaful's cooperative program to be one of the distinguished insurance providers in the Middle East.” The bank received the Best Islamic Finance 2007, Euromoney Prize 2006 for the Best Cooperative Insurance, and Islamic Finance Weekly 2004. __
