Umar Khan Ali Sherzai, Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, inaugurated a “Pakistan Corner” at Effat University here Saturday. Addressing the students on the occasion, the ambassador said that Pakistan's relations with Saudi Arabia are exemplary and these ties continue to develop in educational, cultural, and social fields. Sherzai said Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are two important pillars which strengthen the Muslim World. He said there was a need for greater exchange of students and teachers between the two countries. The “Pakistan Corner”, he said, would help students learn about the history, culture and social life in Pakistan. This would also help in opening new vistas of cooperation and understanding between the universities of both countries. Dr. Rania Ibrahim, Dean of Effat University, said her institution is open to local and international students. She stressed the need for the greater exchange of student and teacher delegations for furthering the cause of education and fraternal relations between the two countries.
