Hani Muhammad Abu Ras is scheduled to assume his duties Saturday as Secretary General of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Abu Ras said that he would begin by meeting staff at the JCCI get to know them individually and also hear their ideas and suggestions for improving the Chamber's work and carrying through its strategy as previously announced by its Chairman Saleh Kamel. “It's too early to talk of any plans of mine concerning the Chamber's administrative work,” Abu Ras said. “I will begin by acquainting myself first hand with the Chamber's administrations and then put forward my ideas and plans, but I will of course be looking to provide the best possible service to traders and industrialists in Jeddah and improve the various areas of the Chamber's work and the economies of the Jeddah region. I hope to achieve the developmental aim of this great economic institution to match the economic developments in the Kingdom,” he added.
