A Saudi plane carrying relief material for the earthquake victims arrived in this Chinese city on Wednesday. The relief measures have been taken under the directives of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to provide China with urgent humanitarian aid and money. Accordingly, Saudi Arabia donated SR50 million and sent its first of an air bridge relief planes to the affected areas. Saudi Ambassador to China Yahaya Abdulkarem Al-Zaid and Assistant Director General of Chinese Foreign Affairs Wen Zen Shon and a number of senior officials were at the airport when the relief plane touched down here. Meanwhile, two more cargo planes left King Khalid International Airport for China on Wednesday. The planes are carrying 123 tons of foodstuffs, blankets, tents and carpets.
