The Saudi Commission for Health Specializations (SCHS) has reported that over the last year it detected 162 false certificates presented by doctors and medical staff in the process of being employed at hospitals in the Kingdom. Hussein Al-Ferahi, the SCHS Secretary General, said the number of medical staff blacklisted in the country due to false credentials stood at 15,202. “The SCHS has discovered 1200 fake medical certificates over 12 years,” Al-Ferahi said, and assured the public that “medical practitioners in the Kingdom are closely monitored by the Commission even after their credentials have been approved.”
