The Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (the Hai'a) arrested on Wednesday one man of African nationality after finding him in possession of illegally imported alcohol and the locally-brewed alcoholic beverage araq. A Hai'a spokesman said the accused was observed by officials acting suspiciously at a market area and that an on-the-spot search revealed the contraband materials. The man was handed over to police for investigation.
