Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, is scheduled to launch on Saturday educational and service projects at Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University worth SR1.6 billion. University President Sulaiman Abalkhail said Tuesday that the launch will take place at the opening of the Islamic Fiqh for Contemporary Medical Issues Conference. “The conference is a 16-session gathering looking at 120 research papers on medical malpractice and the individual's right to care,” Abalkhail said. “Conference recommendations will not override rulings from organizations and boards in the fields of Shariah Law and medicine.” “Even though the university now has majors in areas other than in Shariah Law, the name will stay the same,” Abalkhail said. “The Faculty of Medicine is being prepared in a nearby rented building.”
