Representatives from the German National Tourist Office (GNTO) met up with members of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and tourist bodies to look at extending tourist investment exchange between Saudi Arabia and Germany. Workshops were held at hotels in the capital and Jeddah along with open discussion sessions with the media and tourist agencies to look at German initiatives to boost tourist ties between the two countries. “We've been following a strategy of getting direct participation from Saudi travelers in a package of diverse activities, and the response seen at the workshops in Riyadh and Jeddah suggests that we're on the right path,” said a GNTO official.
