The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organize a ‘Catalog Exhibition' on March 21-22 with the participation of a number of Indian companies to display their industrial and consumer products. The Indian trade delegation accompanying the companies will conclude with Saudi businessmen agreements for the enhancement of trade and investment relations between the two countries. On the sidelines of the exhibition, a meeting will be held between businessmen in the two countries under the chairmanship of JCCI Deputy Chairman Mazen Mohammed Baterji and with the participation of the Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Talmiz Ahmad. JCCI Secretary General Mustafa Sabri said that India imports more than 26 percent of its oil from Saudi Arabia, which is worth more than $11 billion. He stressed that India has been the fifth largest trading partner of the Kingdom, adding that trade exchanges between the two countries amounted to more than $25 billion. He also noted that Saudi imports from India totaled nearly $9 billion, while Saudi exports to India accounted for more than $16 billion, indicating that Saudi exports have mainly been comprised of oil and its products.
