KHAIMAH - Dr. Nasser Saif Al-Mansouri, Director-General of the UAE National Transport Authority, has confirmed that the planning process for the United Arab Emirates railway network is progressing well and is in the final stages. He made the statement during a meeting with Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al-Khaimah, while briefing him on the progress made in the planning for the national railway network. The United Arab Emirates national rail network will run from the country's border with Saudi Arabia and will cover all the emirates. An integrated and reliable transportation network across the country would greatly help in reducing congestion and increase productivity and economic growth of the country.
