Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs (ALJ Prog) started operation of two Bab Rizq Jameel branches in Riyadh and Dammam, after launching its first branch last year in Jeddah, said a press release issued Wednesday. Bab Rizq Jameel combines creating job opportunities and being a center for entrepreneurs who are planning to start their own small businesses. Ohoud Al-Tamimi, manager of Bab Rizq Jameel in Riyadh, said the branch started operation last week. Located on Madina Road in Al-Badia district, the 2000 square meters center is positioned in a reachable commercial area. Al-Tamimi said thousands of visitors have already visited the center, and hundreds of women looking for jobs or wishing to finance their small projects submitted their applications. She said Bab Rizq Jameel center would focus on introducing its activities and concepts that benefit owners of small projects. Bab Rizq Jameel center in Dammam overlooks a busy trading street. The Dammam's center has started operation last week, and is encompassing commercial outlets with diversified areas and flexible working hours. The Bab Rizq Jameel center in Dammam is surveying job opportunities in the private sector companies that could be assigned to women. The center receives curriculum vitae from female applicants and conducts employment interviews. The center is equipped with a cafeteria, restaurants, beauty center and other female services. Launched last year, Bab Rizq Jameel center in Jeddah is creating an average of 200 job opportunities for ladies every month. The center is running several programs, including training ending with employments, direct employment, small projects containing finance and productive household programs.
