The Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) announced on Monday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) to open a state-of-the-art medical testing facility within its premises for processing immigration formalities for employees in its district. Based at The Gate building, the medical centre will enable convenient medical check-ups for speedy processing of visas and medical cards. Marwan Lootah, executive director of corporate affairs at the DIFC said: “Our partnership with the Dubai Health Authority will help us fulfill the growing requirements of employees at the Centre. As one of the world's leading financial hubs, the DIFC has entered into this agreement with the aim of providing services of the highest international standards. The medical center is yet another initiative that speeds up the process of joining the DIFC community and reaffirms DIFC's dedication to providing a comfortable working environment.” Khalid Al-Sheikh, assistant director general of Dubai Health Authority said: “The Dubai Health Authority is pleased to establish a medical facility that supports the DIFC's commitment to the welfare of employees at the financial center. By offering easy access to the best testing services, the DIFC Medical Center ensures that those seeking assistance have a conveniently located, fully-equipped facility to service their needs.” The medical center is located at the DIFC District and is open daily from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. DIFC is an onshore hub for global finance. It bridges the time gap between the financial centers of Hong Kong and London and services a region with the largest untapped emerging market for financial services. __
