The Ministry of Education has launched a new administrative financial resources project as the first step toward applying e-government in the ministry and the education sector in the Kingdom. Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad, Minister of Education, launched the e-administrative project during an intensive workshop here Saturday. The workshop targeted directors of education in all regions and governorates of the Kingdom, directors of administrative and financial services and IT managers. The workshop, which was held at ministry headquarters, aimed to facilitate overall staff performance by applying a strategic Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial management program. “Male and female teachers will benefit from the new project as they will be able to communicate directly with finance management departments,” said Prince Faisal. The project aims to achieve harmony with the ministries concerned and is one of the most important strategic projects in the future plans of the Ministry of Education, he said. The project will facilitate the flow of communication between administrative authorities and departments in the Ministry of Education which will contribute to the job satisfaction of the staff of the ministry which is one of the government's largest employers of manpower.
