As many as 800 to 2,500 illegal aliens trespassing the Saudi border from Yemen are stopped and deported every day back to Yemen through the Al-Tuwal border post, according to Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser Bin Abdul Aziz, the Emir of the Jizan Region. “The trespassers are causing great harm to the country,” said Prince Muhammad, during a meeting Saturday with Dr. Bandar Bin Muhammad Al-Aiban, Chairman of the Human Rights Commission (HRC). An HRC delegation was visiting the region to check on the state of affairs regarding evacuees. He disclosed that committees have been formed to create awareness among residents at the border on the dangers of infiltration and its consequences. He said Saudi Arabia has border treaties in place with Yemen and the boundaries between the two countries are clear. Prince Muhammad welcomed the government's swift assistance to displaced citizens, with the provision of tent camps set up with various services. He said the committees have started carrying out plans to provide accommodation for evacuees at furnished apartments. Meanwhile, the Emir also welcomed the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to pardon prisoners, describing it as a generous gesture.
