Prince Mish'al Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Najran, has ordered that schools make preparations to accommodate the increasing number of pupils in the region. Ali Bin Jaber Al-Shamrani, Director General of Education and Boys' Education in Najran, made an inspection tour of schools in the governorate of Al-Kharkheer to study proposals for classroom expansions and oversee maintenance work. Al-Shamrani's visit to Al-Kharkheer Primary School, which now operates morning and evening classes to accommodate more pupils, brought recommendations for greater focus on beginners' reading and writing classes. Al-Shamrani also looked at the Ministry of Education projects in Al-Wadi'ah in the governorate of Sharoura. At the end of the tour, Al-Shamrani held a meeting with school principals to hear their views on ways to improve the standard of education in the region.
