Prince Muhammad Bin Naser Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Jizan, said Monday that military operations at Al-Jaberi village had almost ended, with ongoing operations involved in “securing” the site and “removing the remaining gangs.” “We are dealing with infiltrators every day, and I hope that what happened at the borders leads to the public reporting infiltrators to the authorities and refraining from providing them with shelter,” Prince Muhammad said. Sources said Monday that infiltrators hiding in the village had been captured, while others surrendered. The remaining gangs, the sources said, would be “completely expelled” from the area within the next few days. Saudi fighter aircraft and ground artillery had bombarded Al-Jaberi Saturday after a deadline set by the Ministry of Defense for the surrender of infiltrators hiding in abandoned houses passed. Housing site designated Prince Muhammad said that the site for a 10,000-unit housing project ordered by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for evacuees has been demarcated and that work has begun. “It will be finished by the deadline set by the King,” Prince Muhammad said. Monday also saw the Emir inaugurate a housing project by the Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Charity Foundation at Ahad Al-Masareha. The project has 75 residential units with water and sewer infrastructures and also provides health care and education services.
